Hello, I'm Charlotte Brierley - a CBT therapist who believes healing happens when we engage both mind and senses.
If you've found your way here, you might be struggling with thoughts that feel overwhelming, behaviors that consume your time, or simply feeling like your mind is working against you rather than with you. I understand how isolating and exhausting this can be - and I want you to know that you're not broken, and you're definitely not alone.
Whether you're dealing with OCD, phobias, anxiety, or navigating neurodivergence, you deserve support that honors both your struggles and your strengths.
My approach combines evidence-based CBT and ERP therapy with something unique: mindful floristry. I've discovered that when we work with natural, beautiful elements while processing difficult emotions, something powerful happens. Your nervous system calms, your hands have something grounding to focus on, and healing becomes a multi-sensory experience rather than just a mental exercise.
Whether you're dealing with intrusive thoughts, specific fears, emotional overwhelm, or simply feeling like you don't quite fit the neurotypical mold, I'm here to help you develop a more peaceful relationship with your mind. Together, we'll create space for you to be authentically yourself while building practical skills for navigating life's challenges.
You deserve support that honors both your struggles and your strengths. Let's explore what that might look like for you.
I specialize in supporting adults who are ready to change their relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings. Often you will seek therapy when symptoms are becoming disordered and or life alterning, and or during major life changes - whether becoming a parent, career shifts, or simply growing into a different version of yourself - can trigger anxiety and uncertainty.
I help people navigate these transitions while staying connected to their authentic selves.
While I welcome clients with all diagnoses and life experiences, I have particular expertise in:
1. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
If you're caught in cycles of intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that steal hours from your day, we can work together using specialized ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) techniques to help you reclaim your time and mental energy.
2. Phobias and Specific Fears
Whether it's medical procedures, social situations, or something else entirely, I understand how limiting specific fears can become. Through gradual exposure work combined with grounding techniques, we can help you move through the world with more freedom and confidence.
3. Anxiety and Emotional Regulation
For those whose minds feel like they're constantly racing, who struggle with overwhelming emotions, or who find it difficult to feel calm and present in daily life, I offer practical tools for nervous system regulation and emotional balance.
4. Neurodivergent Adults
I provide affirming support for ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent experiences. Rather than trying to "fix" how your brain works, we focus on understanding your unique patterns and developing strategies that work with, not against, your neurotype.
My practice is inclusive and welcoming to all identities, backgrounds, and experiences. I believe that therapy should feel like a collaborative partnership where your expertise about your own life is honored and valued and my professional and lived experience will support you.
If you're curious about whether we might be a good fit, I offer brief consultation calls where we can explore your needs and see if my approach resonates with you. You can book one via the link below, or feel free to get in touch with any questions.
I’m registered with both BABCP and Social Work England, ensuring high standards of ethical and professional practice.
Whether you’re here to begin your healing journey or simply exploring your options, know that you are welcome, just as you are. My goal is to help you feel emotionally safe, reconnect with your sense of self, and move forward with confidence and self-compassion.
Let’s take that next step together.
